Seven Pakistanis were included in Forbes 30 Under 30 for Asia this year.
According to the list published by Forbes, filmmaker Bushra Sultan is among those nominated in the arts category.
Ms. Sultan, a Lahore native, received recognition for her contributions as a production designer, creative director, and filmmaker. The journal states that she has worked with a number of brands and has a “special interest in challenging her country’s constraints on women.” One of her most well-known projects was the “Guria” ad for the upscale apparel line Demesne Couture.
The remaining six individuals on the list are business owners who have established edtech and logistics-focused companies.
The 29-year-old Aleena Nadeem was highlighted in the venture and finance section. In an effort to “help more Pakistanis go to university,” she launched the edtech company EduFi.
On the portal, students can register to attend a university. The Lahore-based firm covers the costs for the students, allowing them to continue their studies. Students have the option to return the charge once a month.
The field of finance and venture has also included Sarkhail Bawany. At the finance startup “Abhi,” which allows employees to take out a portion of their compensation before receiving their paycheck, he serves as head of product. In addition, Mr. Bawany serves as CEO of “Abhipay,” the startup’s payment services division.
The enterprise technology category has highlighted Trukkr’s founder, Kasra Zunnaiyyer. According to the media, users can connect with clients, track their fleets, and seek finance through the platform.
In the consumer technology category, Adeel Abid, Aizaz Nayyer, and Ali Raza were highlighted for launching Linkstar, a service that allows independent contractors to build portfolio websites for free.
